Exciting opportunities exist for experienced health care practitioners to join The Flying Physio.

 

The Flying Physio offers onsite clinical treatment and advisory services to mine sites, regional and remote locations in Australia. Our practitioners are based Australia wide flying out of major cities. We are a team of health professionals dedicated to improving the health and lives of all people who engage our service.

 

We are seeking Expressions of Interest for FIFO site-based physiotherapy, massage therapy, osteopathic and chiropractic roles for various locations for regular and relief positions. The various rosters/workdays may offer flexibility and diversity with various rosters/days worked open to negotiation to suit potential practitioner needs and wishes.

ABOUT YOU

You are an experienced practitioner, who wishes to diversify your work/life balance and/or achieve professional variety in your health care profession. You are motivated, flexible and enthusiastic about providing workplace health solutions, both clinical services and injury prevention. You will be a key contributor to a site health team, wherever the location. You have effective clinical skills and can comprehensively communicate and collaborate with clients, both employers and employees, and required health care staff.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contribute to a multi-disciplinary site healthcare team.
  • Maintain accurate records using site health database.
  • Provide injury management treatment and advise injury prevention measures in line with best practice for high risk workplaces.

POSITION EXPECTATIONS

  • Experience in delivery of professional health care services in a clinic setting.
  • Possesses the skills and knowledge of best practice related to musculoskeletal injury and injury prevention in a mining environment and be able to communicate these injury prevention strategies throughout the clinical appointments.
  • Demonstrated experience in working collaboratively with site health and supervisory staff.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, flexibility and a demonstrated history of building and maintaining collaborative relationships and working independently.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to the APA and the flying physio values and a strong professional work ethic.
  • Actively seeks, reflects and acts on feedback on own performance.

Essential Requirements

  • Recognised qualification in Physiotherapy
  • Registration with appropriate body, eg. AHPRA
  • Dry Needling qualifications (Physios only)
  • Minimum 24 months clinical experience
  • Knowledge and experience in MSK injury treatment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in multi-disciplinary settings 
  • Excellent time management. 
  • Demonstrated proficiency to work independently and in a team.
  • Demonstrated commitment to completing projects and tasks thoroughly. 
  • Self-motivated and energetic character.
  • Current National Police Clearance
  • White Card: Construction Induction
  • Own ABN
  • Certificate of Currency for Professional Indemnity and public liability insurance.

Desirable

  • Minimum 3 years post grad
  • Competency in Microsoft Office suite, electronic patient management systems and electronic exercise programs 
  • Work related Injury Classification knowledge or experience.
  • Basic knowledge of the mining industry.
